The Newton Resource Recovery Center on Rumford Avenue will hold a Document Shreddig & Drug Take-Back Day on November 12, 8AM-Noon. Advance sign-up (by calling City Hall at 617-796-1000) is required. It’s a drive-through event, so stay in your car. There is no cost, but $10 donations are appreciated — mailed to the Senior Center (345 Walnut Street, Newtonville 02460), by credit card online, or by cash or check at the event.
- Shredding is for residential materials only (no business materials). It’s limited to 4 document boxes or 8 paper bags per car.
- Expired or unused prescription medications will be accepted.
