The Allen Center’s new Artist in Residence, Allison Eldredge, has formed the Cherry Street Players to offer concerts that present “Classical with a twist.” The group’s next concert, “Viva Maestra,” will be on December 2 at 7PM at The Allen Center (35 Webster Street, West Newton). It will begin with a performance by Cherry Street Cellists Quartet, followed by refreshments with the musicians, and then conclude with musical performances composed or inspired by women. Artists include Carol Ou, Nancy Hair, Adrienne Hartzell-Knudsen, Markus Placci, Miki Sawada, and Allison Eldredge. Tickets here.
