528 Boylston Street Community Meeting TONIGHT, 7:30PM

A community meeting is scheduled for TONIGHT, Wednesday, November 30 at 7:30PM regarding the proposed development of 528 Boylston Street. It will be held in-person (Newton South High School, 140 Brandeis Road) and virtually (Zoom link). The 528 Boylston Street proposal calls for a 5-7 story, 244-unit housing development at the former Sam White Landscaping site on Route 9 eastbound.

The organizers of this meeting have been working for weeks, gathering information, and reaching out to residents who share concerns about the potential impact of this project on schools, the environment, traffic, increased flooding, rodents, home values, additional access/egress onto Hagen Road, and changes in landscape of the Thompsonville neighborhood (see website). More information about the proposal can be found in this presentation from a presentation made to the Fair Housing Committee Meeting on November 1 (see Fair Housing November 1 meeting agenda).
