The Four Area Councils (Newton Highlands, Newtonville, Upper Falls, and Waban) will hold a special information session on the proposed new Zoning for the Village Centers on Monday, October 3, at 7PM. The meeting will be both in person (Waban Library) and virtual (Zoom link). This is the second session the Area Councils have organized to inform and engage the community on the proposals under consideration by the City (see agenda).

Newton Cultural Council will meet both in person (1294 Centre Street) and virtually (Zoom link) on Monday, October 3 at 5:30PM. The agenda includes the following:

    • Contribute to Newton’s FH-related plans
    • Enhance FH literature and website information and access for the public
    • Address committee membership appointments with representation from Human Rights Commission and legal counsel with FH specialty
    • Promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in Newton
