City conducting two surveys about performance spaces

Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture is conducting two surveys seeking public opinion about the development of performance spaces:

  • Newton Centre Playground Performance Pavilion: This survey seeks public input about a possible outdoor performance pavilion at the Newton Centre Bowl — the open space adjacent to the Newton Centre Playground, down the hill from the HUT (69 Tyler Terrace) and between Mason-Rice School and the Newton Centre tennis courts. For more information or to provide input outside the survey, email performancepavilion@newtonma.gov.
  • Auditorium at Lincoln-Eliot School: This survey is specifically for organizations that may want to use the auditorium at the new Lincoln-Eliot School (150 Jackson Road), to help designers of the soon-to-be renovated auditorium understand specific needs for indoor performance events. It’s open until July 31. Besides this survey for organizations, the City is accepting input from individuals in the community by email at lincolneliot@newtonma.gov.
