The School Committee will meet on Tuesday, June 21st, and begin its meeting by entering into Executive Session to conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with non-union personnel in regards to compensation for assistant superintendents and to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining. After the executive session, the School Committee will receive updates on ESSR III Spending, Fiscal and Operations, Transportation Survey Results, Facilities/Summer Projects/CIP/Long and Short-Term Planning (Facilities End of Year Report and Short Term and Long Term Enrollment and Facilities Memo ), and discuss Authorizations. The Committee is then scheduled to vote on the appointment of Dr. Kathleen Smith as Interim Superintendent for a one-year period beginning July 1, 2022 (NOTE: Last week, I erred in reporting that the SC was scheduled to vote on the interim appointment. The SC heard the recommendation, interviewed and discussed the appointment, and no vote was scheduled or made), authorize signatories, approve FY23 Paid Meal Pricing recommendation, approve grants, approve Equity Spending Guidelines (marked-up version here) and approve a 1-day Liquor License for the NSHS 40th Reunion.
