On July 12, 2P-5PM, Newtonville Books will host a Poetry Party on the newly finished Newton Centre Plaza. Local artist Ingrid Chiemi will play tunes from What the Horizon Can Hold, her new book of song lyrics and art about what’s beyond and ways to reach that. Jenny Pivor will read from her book, It’s a Little Skimpy, followed by an open mic. All net proceeds from Ingrid’s new book go to Asian Women For Health, a nonprofit connecting Asian women and their families and allies with resources for better health outcomes.
