For the last few weeks (at least), residents of Newton have had an opportunity to take a wok in Cold Spring Park. Regarding the cookware available near the Beacon Street entrance to the park — across the parking lot from the new Pollinator Garden — Alan Nogee, President of the Friends of Cold Spring, remarked, “Yes, indeed, please take this wok. With a bit of steel wool, it has many more good years of use in it. And thanks to all who remove other debris from the park and keep it beautiful. Of course, I also encourage people to take any of the many walks that Cold Spring Park has to offer. But please do not use the park to give away items you no longer want!”
